LCL Consoles – Business Development Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Manager – LCL Consoles to expand our Less-than-Container Load (LCL) business vertical. The ideal candidate must have deep industry knowledge, established trade relationships, and a proven record of driving LCL growth through strategic customer acquisition and retention.



Key Responsibilities

Market Development & Sales Growth

  • Identify, target, and onboard new clients for LCL export services.
  • Develop strong trade lanes and strategic partnerships with NVOCCs, consolidators, and overseas agents.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for LCL volume and revenue.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build, maintain, and grow long-term customer relationships.
  • Provide customized LCL logistics solutions balancing cost, routing, and transit time.
  • Manage rate negotiations, quotation processes, and follow-up communication.

Product & Trade Lane Development

  • Collaborate with operations to build and launch new LCL service offerings.
  • Partner with overseas agents to establish reciprocal business and strengthen trade lanes.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Maintain an updated sales funnel and provide periodic business development insights.
  • Assist in marketing activities for LCL promotions and service campaigns.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate in Business, International Trade, Logistics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5–7 years experience in freight forwarding with a strong focus on LCL consolidation sales.
  • Established relationships with NVOCCs, shippers, consolidators, and overseas freight partners.
  • Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with willingness to travel as required.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • LCL volume growth (Cbm/TEUs) and revenue contribution.
  • Quarterly customer acquisition numbers.
  • Retention and repeat business from key accounts.
  • Trade lane development milestones and overseas partnership growth.
