Position Details

Job Title: Business Development Manager – Air Freight
Location: New Delhi, India
Reporting To: Head of Sales / Regional Manager


Role Overview

We are looking for a high-performing Business Development Manager who can drive revenue growth and expand our air freight business across North India. This role is ideal for someone with strong industry connections, a hunter mindset, and a solid understanding of air cargo operations.


Key Responsibilities

1. Revenue Generation & Client Acquisition

  • Develop and close new air freight business across exporters, manufacturers, and traders

  • Identify, pitch, and secure high-volume air export and import accounts

  • Build strong relationships with WCA forwarders to generate inbound and cross-trade business

2. Commercial & Solution Delivery

  • Use Seair’s 17+ airline partnerships to offer competitive air freight solutions

  • Negotiate rates, SLAs, and contracts to ensure profitability

  • Prepare and present professional proposals and client presentations

3. Market Insight & Strategy

  • Track market trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities

  • Execute a structured sales plan to meet and exceed revenue targets

4. Client & Internal Coordination

  • Build long-term client relationships and act as a trusted logistics partner

  • Coordinate closely with Operations, Customer Service, and Finance teams

  • Ensure smooth execution, accurate pricing, and high customer satisfaction


Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 3–7 years in freight forwarding or international logistics sales

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of air freight operations, documentation, and customs processes

  • Track Record: Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets

  • Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Mindset: Self-driven, target-focused, and results-oriented


Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Existing client base or strong exporter network in North India

  • Experience working with WCA or similar global networks

  • Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)

  • Degree or certification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or International Trade
